Peter's career spans 28 years – 16 years working within local government and 12 years in consultancy, mainly advising and assisting public sector organisations at local, regional and national level. Whilst his specialist area is in the field of passenger transport and accessibility matters, much of his work concerns people, communities and organisations. Working across sectors and interests provides more effective solutions, and is vital in these times of economic restraint. Peter enjoys facilitating strong partnerships and working with organisations to secure the best possible outcomes. In recent years he has been increasingly called upon as an enabler to help organisations overcome particular barriers or funding issues.

Peter enjoys the variety of activity and in getting involved in different things to support the industry. He is on the Board of the Association of Transport Co-ordinating Officers (ATCO), editor of ATCO News, and supports training and development activities in some of the professional transport institutions. In his spare time he regularly volunteers at the National Memorial Arboretum.
