Thomas is an experienced Transport Planner with a particular specialism in town planning and urban design. His broad-based background, including seven years experience in the UK planning industry, gives him a strong understanding of the critical relationships between transport, land use planning and urban design.
Thomas has a thorough understanding of town planning and urban design issues as well as experience in applying these principles to the public realm. His strong cross-disciplinary skills ensure that transportation and urban design do not become divorced but rather progress in unison.
He has recently completed the planning applications for the first two phases of a mixed-use, 10,800 homes regeneration development in the Thames Gateway. Part of a European, multi-disciplinary consortium, he led a team of highway engineers, planners and urban designers to deliver the street design for the Barking Riverside project.
